Presenter’s Biography:

Dr. Kasprzak is an Associate of the well known Milliken Research Associates.  He is a co-author of “Race Car Vechicle Dynamics: Problems, Answers and Experiments” and a contributor to “Chassis Design, Principles and Analysis”.  Dr. Kasprzak is also a co-founder and co-director of the Formula SAE Tire Test Consortium.  In 2006 he completed his Ph.D with a dissertation on the Nondimensional Tire Theory.  He currenly teaches courses on Vechicle Dynamics at the University of Buffalo where also acts as an advisor to their Formula SAE team.  (Source: students.sae.org)

Presentation Abstract:

We are very pleased that this past spring Dr. Kasprzak gave a guest lecture at Ryerson that focused on tire performance and its relation to vechicle dynamics.  The presentation included an overview of tire construction, discussion of both labratory tire testing and model development from measured data, application of tire models to vehicle analysis, design and simulation.
