Today, the Ryerson University Engineering Bug Push began its 24 hour marathon and RFSAE was there to share the experience! The team brought out the RF07 to have a friendly race one-lap race against the bug. When the first lap began, several members from the Formula SAE team feverishly pushed our RF08 gallantly while huffing the car up AND down the quad. The team would like to thank everyone that came out to take pictures and enjoy making Ryerson history! And it was all for a good cause, too! With the chassis in its final stages of development, the team is looking toward a strong February. New parts of the car are being designed and manufactured every day and the general mood in the team is very optimistic. With everyone working very hard, the team is set to finish the RF10 early this year, leaving ample time for testing. As always, come down to KHE 023 to either check out the chassis, previous generation cars, or to help out in the shop! Extra hands are always welcome.

The Team has been working hard over the winter break and has made tremendous progress! We are ahead of schedule and are shaping up for a good 2010 season. The chassis has a few more hours of welding left before it is completed, then it’s off to the powder-coaters. As always if you’d like to get involved with the team get in contact with us, or swing by our shop in KHE-023.

Preparations for designing and constructing the 2010 Ryerson Formula SAE car have officially begun! For students interested in joining the team for the 2009-2010 year, we encourage you to come by our shop at any time in KHE 023. The room is open for everyone to ask questions related to being on the team, or questions about the competition itself. On the off chance that no one is available, do not hesitate to leave your full name and contact information on the printout attached to the shop door, or reach the team by e-mail. Additional contact information is given below. Remember, the RFSAE team is open to every Ryerson student, regardless of faculty!
